Despite the title this is somewhat praise to Airbnb customer service.
I had a last minute booking where the guest wanted to arrive that day for 2 nights. All seemed good, I pre approved and then he was unable to book. The site wasn't allowing his card , he tried a few and said they didn't work. He couldn't figure out the Airbnb Help contact (only sent them an email) but since he was due to arrive in a few hours it needed to be sorted quicker. I got onto Airbnb chat and asked them to call him. They did, but the problem couldn't be solved and he had to make alternative arrangements and I lost a booking.
However, Airbnb had admitted that this was their issue and gave up both a generous Airbnb coupon and the interaction I had over the phone was great, so thanks guys for that!
