Melbourne's Finest Host Meetup - February 2016

Hi Folks,


Our very successful January 2016 Meetup at The Imperial Hotel - thanks to our sponsors The Imperial Hotel and LTM Risk Partners, had over 80 hosts who attended. Darryl Morris , from LTM Risk Partners launched the Short Stay Home Host insurance product.


Our next Meetup will be:

Date : Wednesday 24th February 2016
Time : 6pm onwards - 9pm - Q & A session will commence at 7pm
At : The Stone Hotel (upstairs function space)
298-300 Brunswick St, Fitzroy VIC 3065

It is "Parma Wednesday" and all Parmas are $15. There is a great selection of meals and drinks at your own expense.

We don't have a sponsor lined up for this Meetup so if you are keen, we can have a General Hosting Q & A session (with a microphone!) on some general topics.
Some topics could include : owners corporations, instant book, how to write a house manual, pricing, check in solutions, how to find a cleaner.

Please post any questions below that you would like answered and we will do our best to come prepared.

If you are interested in contributing your hosting expertise/experience on the night as part of the "brains trust" to answer some questions , please message me.

Great to hear about your next meetup. Just wanted to let you know I am now featuring a link to this post on the Homepage for Melbourne Hosts, so more people will see it. 

How did January's meeting go? It wonder would you be willing to post any things you share in the meeting here in the CC, as it sounds like you cover some really useful points and it would be great to have your experience here? I think it would be a great way for hosts to discuss the ideas, post meetup and for others who weren't able to attend.

General Hosting Q & A session (with a microphone!) on three topics :

1. Owners corporations and short term holiday rentals with Paul Salter, Docklands Executive Apartments and President of Victorian Accommodation Industry Association

2. Finding and managing cleaners with Veronica Kypros

3. How to write a house manual and why your guests will love it with Rob Nagy

Each presenter has 10 mins each and will cover a range of issues (from questions that have been submitted) The presenters will be available after the Q & A session if you want to ask them something else. We won't be taking questions from the floor.
