Payout sent to a closed account... new account details entered but not in time

Hi BnB'rs,

I've just started hosting but have been using AirBnB as a traveller for a while. When I got my 1st booking I checked the payout details & realised it was linked to an old bank account which I closed some time ago. I entered my new account details asap but it took several days for this to be confirmed & the payout has been made to the old account.

What will happen...? I'm assuming the payment will bounce back to AirBnB... will it then be re-sent to the new account?

It should. Ounce back and you will need to contact Airbnb and ask them to try again with your new details. It could take a little while for the money to be returned to Airbnb.
