Hi All,

My friend referred me to start hosting, so I went for it. I didn't click the link before advertising the apartment (as I didn't see it on the page), and now I can't find it anywhere. It's a lot of money for my friend to lose out on!! What can I do to make sure he gets his fair referral payment?

You will have to endure your friend's wrath forever, @Tom345. You cannot retroactively accept a referral. You have to sign up using the link.

That seems desperately unfair! I clearly signed up and advertised the flat soon after he invited me! Is there anyone I can complain to?

Not really, @Tom345. You can try tweeting a DM to AirbnbHelp, but I expect you will get canned sympathy and little else. But then at least you will be able to tell your friend you tried...
