How do I know if I need to file taxes in Washington State for Airbnb taxes? Since we don't file state taxes do we need to file airbnb income for federal taxes?

Yes, you will still need to report all Airbnb income on your Federal taxes.  You're right - we don't have to file WA State income taxes, but that's doesn't change your Federal obligation.

You do need to treat your Air bnb income in WA as a business and file BnO taxes if you have more then three short term rentals per year.  Dor.wa.gov has guidelines.
