booking an airbnb for April 2018

I booked a house for APril 2018, im told i cannot book this far in advance? Why? i would like ot reserve a house becuase my son is graduating the police academy and i guarantee , its going to book fast.

Each host has a choice of allowing guests to only book 3 - 6 or 12 months in advance, it sounds like the listing you are trying to book has the 3 month setting in place. Send them a message, they might open the dates.
