cancellation penalties

i am being penalized after cancelling a guest who booked on instant booking, the guest had booked the house for another person and not herself...... Airbnb states that it is counter to there regulations to book on behalf of someone else.........

You need to contact airbnb.  The software is not intelligent enough to understand such situations.  Next time contact airbnb before making the cancellation.
