cleaning fee

Hi,

I included a cleaning fee in my listing, but for my first guest, the fee was not paid. Not his fault, it's just the way the Airbnb system proceessed our transaction.

I've read elsewhere that cleaning fees are included in the overall transaction, but that definitely did not occur this time. It's quite clear from both the confirmation email and the amount paid that no cleaning fee was included.

Is it possible that smart pricing overrides a cleaning fee?

Hosts, how do I ensure that Airbnb properly charges the cleaning fee I have included in my profile? Any ideas?

I can confirm this as well. I just had my first Smart Pricing booking, and the default cleaning fee of $35 was not included.

However, in this case the guest asked to stay shorter than my 3d minimum, so I created a special offer of 2d based on the Smart Price pricing. So I'm not sure if it's the Special Offer or Smart Pricing that does that.
