how can I apply a Coupon Code to an Instant booking?

I have a Superhost Coupon Code - Help section tells me to apply it to the Subtotal when I make a booking. But no 'Coupon Code' option comes up alongside the Subtotal. Place I want to book has Instant Booking - does this make a difference? Don't want to click on the Instant Booking and then lose the option. How can I apply the Coupon Code?
