how to change a guest reservation to one day later?

My guest did instant booking with me and he reserved the room one day earlier than he needed due to my check-in time. He wants to arrive at noon. My check-in time is at 3 pm. To get around that he booked one day earlier. I feel bad because that check-in time is just a guideline and if he had asked me first, I would have been happy to oblige him and let him come at noon. Now I am wondering how that reservation can be modified so he does not pay for an extra day.

You simply go to that reservation and make the needed modification to the dates.

On the right next to the reservation on the online app, there is a phone logo, a message logo and 3 dots.  Hover over the dots, and a "alter/change reservation" message opens.  follow the prompts....

Or maybe you can just discuss over a cup of coffee and settle the difference that both of you can be benifited and less hussle on doing some modification on the resercations.
You can just give them refund for that one day difference or sort of...
