long term occupancy tax

Should my guests be charged an occupancy tax if they are staying over 30 days since it is not considered short term?  The occupancy tax is showing up on a recent listing that I had not noticed before.

Occupancy tax is usually levied only for short term, i.e., as defined by your city, state or county, .  If you know that the tax should not be applied and it was, you could contact Air BNB and advise the error.  Since it is an issue for the guest and you are not involved in the collection, you should urge the guest to get a refund from Air BNB.

Here is a guide for contacting Air BNB.
