my listing not showing up when searching

I randomly went to search for my listing to send the link to a friend and lo and behold it wasn't showing up! for how long I don't know, but I have not been getting any inquiries. Jan & Feb in New York City can be slow, but still. I called airbnb and they said there was a glitch and they knew about it. They said they would look into it. The next day I received no response so called in again. No idea. This has been going on for 4 days. They do not call me, I have to call every day.

Now they are telling me I might have to deactivate my listing. They said my account would stay active so I wouldn't lose reviews or messages but my listing would disappear and then I could make another one. Has anyone done this? Will the reviews stay attached to the same listing? It doesn't make sense to me that it would. It probably won't let me use the same name for the listing, will it? They are not being very helpful and I'm not sure what to do!

Try emailing Chip@airbnb.com.  He's the head of global hospitality.  Also, maybe you should ask for someone hire up on the pecking when you call since you're not getting the help you need.

**bleep**, I just wrote a long message here and it just disappeared! I spend soooo many hours on this site editing and trying to find ways to communicate with someone from AIRBNB preferably.  There's no phone contact or online comms....so, ok, I also cannot find my home in the listing search.  I have left two messages on here somewhere! with no response.  I would also like to know how to have listing appear as private room + entire home for specific dates.  This is peak time in Australia and I have had not enquiries.  I've also spent soooo long editing and searching this site, its rather silly.  Hope someone out there will read this and help me. Thank you.

Hi there! I'm not hired by Airbnb or anything, but I know my way around the site.

Unfortunately, you cannot list the same house as "entire listing" and then swap it to "private room" for certain dates in your calendar. But you can make two separate listings, and just make sure you don't book on both listings for the same dates.

The listing you cannot find in search: can you send us the link in your browser bar after you've clicked "Preview your listing"?

Hello All, Hi JAcob,

I'm new to the site and the process, but I think I have the same situation.

This is the link to the annnouncement I created, could I kindly ask you to have a look if I did anything wrong maybe?

thank you very much, andrea

This link worked for me https://www.airbnb.it/rooms/10544969?s=4W_G42OM to view while logged into or out of Airbnb. For what ever that's worth?

This link did not take me to a preview of your airbnb. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/6511087?preview Rather it takes me to a general view of houses available in San Diego.

Same problem here, it's ridiculous.

Hi guys

I have been searching for my listing which has been active for two years and suddenly it is no longer visible on AirBnB. There are only 3 places in my suburb on the site so I am not competing with lots of listings. I have searched on a friends computer and the same thing - its not there.

Can anyone give me advice on what to do???

Hi guys,  facing the same issue here, my listing is not showing up though it's active and available  (here's the link: https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/12404824?preview_for_ml) Last time I had a booking was 3 months ago, since then nothing. It must have to do with some feature changes. Anyone know who should we contact about this?

thanks in advance,

Athina

I know this thread is old, but I've been having the same exact problem! It's so frustrating. I've called AirBnB many times and have been getting no-help responses from its Twitter. I'm not sure if there's anything I'm doing wrong, but AirBnB also told me that it's a glitch within my account and that making a whole new listing would't help.

After a few weeks of silence, I've finally gotten frustrated enough to just make a whole new account entirely, losing all the reviews I had on the last account. I just made the new listing on the new account, but it seems like the problem is still happening. If anyone can please help me or direct me to some kind of solution, I'd really appreciate it.

Hi Amanda -- did you ever resolve this issue??? I'm facing the SAME problem, 2 years later... I know this conversation is old, but if you could shed some insight into the situation or what ended up happening, that would be so helpful and appreciated. I've been very sad and disappointed about not hearing back from airbnb's "specialist" who they said would contact me... Thank you so much.
