potential guests not responding

I am new to airbnb and i have responded to a few inquiries and got nothing back from the potential guests.  Is this common? I expected at least a thanks for the info, maybe we will get back to you, but nothing.  I am concerned they are not getting my emails.

Can anyone give me advice or let me know if this is common. Thanks

i think sometimes they send out several requests to different hosts if you look at their wish list you can see who else they have approached.  

Sometimes they just find a better fit for them nothing you have done wrong x

It happens - as said, people ask the same question of a number of hosts and then book with one...

You learn not to invest huge amounts of time in providing very detailed answers to questions because of this.

I find this happens all the time. It's mostly people just shopping around, they're really not looking to commit.

Like you, I think it's annoying that you can't get at least a "Thanks but no thanks", but human nature, I suppose 🙂
