excessive charges to guests

I have made a special offer to a prospective guest and airbnb are charging £409 on top of the £600 hire charge for the stay.  What on earth is going on.  The service fees are creeping up and up steadily - am happy to pay 3% as a host but to expect guests to pay 12%, or nearly 70% in this instance, is criminal.  How can we, as hosts, expect any bookings.  It must be all to do with the two grand prix cars Airbnb are sponsoring!

Airbnb never charge more than 12% service fee, I think there went soomthing wrong with you special offer.
