If you are wanting to delete your Airbnb account, see below.

Go to Account ---> Settings ---> Cancel My Account

From Airbnb:

"In order to reopen the account, you'll need to contact Airbnb.  When you cancel your account, any reservations you've confirmed—as a host or a guest—will be automatically canceled."

this hasnt helped at all. I clicked on cancel my account but it hasnt seemed to have done anything. And I need to cancel my acocunt

I don't know what to tell you @Tess-and-Matt0.  When I made this Help Guide, I did not click on the button as I did not want to delete my account.  I would contact Airbnb and they can either do it for you, fix the issue you are having, or walk you through it.  Sorry the Help Guide did not help you.
