Airbnb Host Customer Service in English

I love hosting on Airbnb. Have been a superhost for many years. But I wince when i have to call customer service. They do their best to answer the and help resolve, but if its a complex issue, their understanding of English becomes an issue, and it is normally very difficult to understand them. I would say this is 80% of the times I call.

Is this anyone else's experience?

@Mikey33  I find on the rare occasion I need to  contact them, calling the superhost line direct is best.  I have not had an issue with understanding the CS

It works both ways, it is the same for those trying to understand English as a second language.

It would be helpful if we had Customer service offices in all of our own countries so we can resolve matters in accordance with our local regulations and speak common languages.

Sadly it's all about cost cutting / minimising costs and as an example paying a mere $7.50 NZ dollars an hour to workers in the Philippines is not the same as the legal hourly rate in New Zealand either.

There's also other serious matters that arise with Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) in other countries that are not the equivalent of others

It's time for a Reset all around and ensuring we all have local employment opportunities.
