Yes, I have worked with Hosts where Airbnb is not collecting the correct taxes and its an uphill battle to get them to correct it.
Looks like there is:
State of Oklahoma Sales Tax - 4.5%.
County Tax - Then depending on what county you are in there may be addl taxes (lodging and/or sales tax)
Since you say you are not in the city of Broken Bow, you shouldn't need to pay their tax, but may be subject to a county tax?
I would take a screen shot of a reservation and a screen shot of the tax page showing what taxing authorities Airbnb is collecting for. You may need something from the city of Broken Bow that shows you are outside the city limits and not subject to the City Tax. You may still be subject to the county tax depending on what county you are in.
If you are sure you are correct about the proper taxes, you could advise a guest that has completed a stay that it appears Airbnb calculated their taxes incorrectly. The guest can contact Airbnb and ask for a refund of the incorrect tax amount collected. That should trigger Airbnb to take care of the issue.
Perhaps one of the moderators can forward this to the correct Team at Airbnb?
