Can a Condo Board stop an Owner from getting long-term roommates through Airbnb in Los Angeles?

Hi folks, I  own a condo in the Hollywood area, and our outdated condo board rules make no mention of Airbnb. Roommates are allowed though. I get roommates through airbnb. Can a condo board forbid this? And they have saiid they are going to amend their rules to disallow airbnb entirely. is this also allowed by the city or state laws?
