Car for rent at the STR

Hi, everyone! I have a 3bd cabin in Pigeon forge which is close to a Great smoky Mountains. I had an idea to park a Wrangler at the cabin and rent it daily for my guests. Just need another opinion, do u thin it will rent?(planing to rent it cheaper then everyone else)

The Air BNB system does not cover any fees for vehicles, that is, there is no protection should you face damage or liability.  Other hosts have considered offering recreational vehicles or boats so I am sure you can search for first hand experience with this offering.

Where's your legal liability??  How do you ensure your guest isn't intoxicated and drives over a cliff, into a river, hits another vehicle and injures another party?

I won't supply bikes, kayaks or sport equipment just for my own liability protection.

I’m planning to rent it through a automotive Renting company, so there’s going to be an insurance. Of course a whole agreement with a  paperwork. So Airbnb would not be involved at all.

How are you planning to maintain the vehicle in-between guests to ensure there has been no damage? @Alex7660

That you are planning to rent the car through a rental agency is a bit of information that changes the discussion to is there a market for a car rental that coincides with the market for your listing.  I don't know your market but I think the market factors  are:  1) Do your guests arrive by some other transportation than a car? 2) Does your area have good Uber/Lyft transportation if a guest wants to consume alcohol and not drive?  3) Do the upkeep costs of the vehicle and your target rental price have a good margin for profit? 4) If only guests can rent it, does it remain unavailable to others even if a guest does not elect to use it?

@Alex7660   It is a pretty good idea considering how many people want to "off road" in the Dollywood area  and the Smokey Mountain Park but have arrived in a regular sedan.  However, your liability is a grave concern, as is the condition and servicing of the vehicle between guests.  Is someone going to inspect it for damages and make sure that the gas tank is full?  Good luck!  I think you are going to need it!
