Hello @Wanda245

The cleaning fee is something that the host can apply or not to their listing.  Some incorporate it into the nightly cost and others decide it to show it separately and the guest can see how much the host charges.

The advantage of listing the cleaning fee separately means that if a guest cancels their reservation, this fee will be reimbursed.  Not the case when it is already in the nightly fee.

Hope this helps!

Joëlle

It's whatever you want to charge @Wanda245  base it on whether you are outsourcing or not and see what other local hosts are charging for comparable places

Thank you. How can I see what others are charging?

@Wanda245 Just pretend to be a guest and add a few dates in a location to see what others are charging.

But in many ways it is irrelevant. Some people have no cleaning fee because they think people prefer 'hotel like' pricing where the price per night covers everything.

Our cleaning fee just covers the cost that our laundry charges us for the bed linen. We clean ourselves and it takes quite a few hours but we reward ourselves with the nightly rental fee.

Thank you. I know that the people I clean for only charges $35 and i get $30 i truly think they should raise there price but thats my opinion.

@Wanda245 If they increased their cleaning fee it would make shorter stays less attractive so there would be less cleaning for you to do. Of course you do need to make sure that you are getting a fair rate for your cleaning taking into account how long the cleaning takes plus how long it takes you to get to the place where you clean.
