Florida Sales Tax_Airbnb cover reporting?

I am new to hosting and do not reside in Florida where the rental is. Does Airbnb take care of reporting and remitting sales tax report/payments? I received a notice from Department of Revenue that they have not received anything.

Hello Ferguson,

Airbnb takes care of remitting FL sales tax to the state but as far as your rental income from the airbnb listing, Airbnb will provide you with a 1099 if you clear $20,000+ on gross rental revenue, and then you can report that with you accountant/cpa.
