How to comply with new vacation rental law in Quintana Roo?

I am fairly alarmed at the Big Brother tactics of the government of Quintana Roo, Mexico to restrict my ability to rent out part of my casa on the Airbnb platform. According to the below-referenced article, beginning 1 Jan 2024, I must register my house, pay an inspector, and submit periodic income and tax declarations or I will be fined. The government is forcing Airbnb to turn over all host contact information so it can compare the Airbnb host list with its taxpayer roll and registration lists.

I generate less than $2,000 US dollars a year through renting out my property through Airbnb. Is it worth running the labyrinthine bureaucratic (and expensive) Mexican gauntlet to continue to list my property on Airbnb?

What is Airbnb doing to assist it's hosts with this compliance?

@Kristi41 Airbnb will rightly do nothing to help with compliance. All such things including taxes are clearly the responsibility of the host. The question as to whether it is worth continuing will depend entirely on the costs of registration and inspection.

Not quite the answer I was hoping for. It looks like I will be taking down my listing next month.
