This is ridiculous! To have to go through all of this just to log in! It's the DESIGN of the security check itself that is RIDICULOUS!!!! As others have said, our time is precious, and I have never had to run through something TEN TIMES! Which I did THREE TIMES total and it still would not let me in. I know the sound of drums when I hear them! I just complained on the customer service line, but this is a major tech stupidity, not to mention discriminatory. If I were elderly, I would NEVER be able to get through this. As it is, I've got ADHD and it was hard on me too! I assume AirBnb would like customers. We have to be able to log in, you know?
I am sorry your experience was frustrating. I know frustrating but keep in mind this isn't something personnel between you an Airbnb. Airbnb may not have the perfect answer yet, but we are still figuring the computer activity out.
@Marie8425 Thanks. You'd think they could hire tech people who have common sense to design these things!
Does Airbnb ever even see these comments? It would be to their advantage to listen to their customers.
Testify! This is beyond annoying, it’s sadistic!
Airbnb: wake up and fix this garbage.
Yes, sadistic would be a good word. The opposite of a "human" test.
To put a finer point on it: Let me help do your job for you, airbnb:
Implement mobile/app or SMS or apple/google verification codes or literally ANY combination of the DOZENS of MFA options available to your software engineers.
I’m speaking from experience, as a security engineering manager in the heavily regulated financial services sector: even banks don’t abuse their customers this aggressively.
seriously, get with the program.
there’s other home sharing platforms out there to hosts And guests, and they’re rapidly eroding your market dominance with a better host experience, lower commissions, and less-abusive quality-of-life annoyances such as your dreaded “security check” digital speedbump.
Truly! Airbnb you just got some highly qualified free advice! Is anyone listening? That's the issue perhaps. Someone is asleep at the wheel?
