I need all the details from A to Z how to do this as I am new here and very enthusiastic.

Why are some Host allowed to deceptively price their units with the low ball price during peak season? Is this not dishonesty? What do you think about this type of promotion being unfair to Host that are not deceptively advertising? Is honesty not the basis of Airbnb's standards? Does Airbnb promote deceptive pricing? Jean
That artical has nothing to do with what you are talking about. They are talking about it not being clear during the check out procees what the guest is actually paying for in regards to actual fees and costs. It has nothing to do with advertising the lowest price available when no dates are given by the guest. If anybody is confused here it's @Maria-and-Jean0
bye ned
@Maria-and-Jean0 Right before you pulled both your listings I got one screen shot, I was going back to the other listing to get one there too. I would say "Pot Calling Kettle Black" here. Your head line says Alaskan Holiday Happiness = $139 Day -12% weekly, yet when I went to book I was quoted $189. No where in your listing do you say over 4 guests there is a $25 extra guest charge. Just saying ;D
First off it clearly says 4 persons.. put your glasses on and read bottom left:
4 Persons $139 Every Day of Week
7+ Days Earn 12% Discount to Cover Muni Tax
Plus, I have not pulled my website. SO, you might check yourself on that one.
@Maria-and-Jean0 Your headline indicated ALL days for ALL people is $139, most people do not read the details and would find this decetive advertising when the price showed up at $189, not $139 your headline states. Also if you did not pull your listings you miight wanna call AirBnB about it now because they are both gone from your profile.
it does not say all days for all people.. it says $139 Every Day - 12%. if it would have allowed me to say 4 person in the headline i would of.. however i did put it first thing in the context of the body..
maybe your guest dont read all of your listing because they figure smoke and mirrors pricing what else will be false... mine tell me the reason they stay is because i shoot straight on price.. the amenities i provide...and how nice a place i have.. thats what i want to hear.. i set the bar high on all aspects and when Guest come here they always go WOW.. how beautiful.. and how professional you are.. we really appreciate that... comments like the best bnb I have ever stayed in... and that was from a global traveling businessman.. who stays in hundreds of bnb's world wide..
and i just checked my listings.. they are up and running.. maybe airbnb blocked them from you..
plus there is no such word as decetive....
you cant even get your facts right. .but i guess if you play decetive that is your game..
bye now.. we are done conversing.. from now on you are talking to yourself..
https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2018/jul/16/airbnb-eu-pricing-accommodation-fees-charges
not the only one against this deceptive practise.. expect to have to earn business on your own merits soon here in the USA too..
and just so everyone is clear.. this is not Maria & Jean.. this is Jean of Maria & Jean..
DECEPTION IS LIKE RELIGION. EVERYONE IS DOING IT SO WHY SHOULDN'T I AND IF IT BENEFITS YOU IT IS OKAY TO DECEIVE. GREED IS GOOD!
Who are you to pass judgment on others? So you have flat rate pricing...congratulations, you're a terrible business person. It's just common sense to have variable pricing and it's just common sense for airbnb to advertise the lowest possible price if we have no idea when the guest intends to book. Why should I only advertise peak pricing if my guest might be looking to book in the off season??
@Ned-And-Laura0 I am at this point going to agree [content hidden]. Still on the thread responding rather than calling AirBnB about her 2 missing listings on her profile. I was on one when it was pulled. If she/he did not do it as they state they should be contacting AirBnB ASAP. As it clearly shows above they are gone.

Got it. Greed is Good.

Gosh. I'm annoyed by Airbnb's practise, not because it's unethical but because it's a nuisance that you can't really predict the price range of your stay until you enter dates, and I don't want to guests who don't want to pay my fees to bother with my listing-- and I applaud the EU's actions. But I don't think I'm exactly colluding with the devil here. If this is going to send me to "burn in hell" I'm long gone on other counts. And of my list of complaints about Airbnb this is not even in the top five. Finally, they are not "allowing me" to advertise anything-- they are the ones doing the advertising of the product I provide. This thread is getting awfully personal, so I think I'm done with it.
