If the guests are not paying, does air bnb pay to the host?

The « guests » credit card payment has been declined. Naturally air bnb only informed me of this on the day my own pay out was due from air bnb.

then they also said they don’t have to reimburse any rent not paid by their guest. Which is the opposite if what they told me on the phone at the time of the booking.

That and the fact that air bnb actively prevents their hosts from vetting their guests means that air bnb is actually an inferior platform compared to something like craigslist list or kijiji - where you can at least vet your own tenants. Not to mention not paying overhead to air bnb.

has any one had any success with this?
