Missing payouts. Any success in resolving?

In the 2021 tax year I have found that my airbnb payout summary equates to approx. $3000 more than what has landed in my bank account (approx. 5% of earnings). It is difficult to find the errors because some amounts landing appear to be the sum of 2 or more payouts sometimes from more than one property.

In Australia this will create a tax problem as the payouts are linked to the tax Office.

AirBNB support did not look into the matter. the end of the support thread said ‘you will be contacted shortly’

It appears that several people are experiencing missing payouts. Is anyone having success in getting it resolved?

Thanks

@Lachlan27

Download the CSV files from Transaction History and import them in a spreadsheet. You will probably find the difference.Especially keep an eye on payouts related to COVID cancellations, check for pending payouts in Transaction History (marked as being paid in the overview, but  still pending) and manual refunds via resolution centre. it is a puzzle, but at the end i could solve mine....

Hi Emiel, Thanks for the response. I have put everything into a spreadsheet and compared it to my bank transaction spreadsheet. also studied the following months for pending payments or the like. It would make sense if this as a result of cancellations, but I can't find any evidence. I'll manually take a look at cancellations. Thanks.

RESOLVED. found the missing numbers. My mistake. they land in my account without any reference to airbnb so the filter missed them. However; I do think that payments should always land as the actual payout amounts rather than a mash of 3-4 payouts spanning more than 1 property. Airbnb support did respond. just took some time.
