Occupany Taxes - Blue Mountain, ON

Hi,

I own 2 STA rentals in Blue Mountain and we have to pay BMVA a 2% fee on all bookings call VAF.  I noticed in Jan 2024 airbnb started taking a 2% occupany fee on all my booking.  I called airbnb to find out what this Occupany fee is and they can't give me any answers, they are just telling me its going to the government.  They can't tell me if it's Federal, Provincial, or Municipality.  I have talked to the BMVA and they said they aren't getting the 2% fee from airbnb and I have to keep on paying it directly.  Does anyone know what this occupany fee is for? Help...
