Paused payments.

Hi, host of 7 years, Superhost with over 2100 reviews. Never had an issue previously.

After being asked to  reverify my account Airbnb changed my account to a professional host.  Everything was fine and I thought I was done. Then Airbnb paused my payments and asked me to verify - however everything is already verified. I’m just getting sent in an endless loop of “payments paused please verify” message to a page which says I’m verified. Seriously on the verge of pulling everything off Airbnb as we have back to back bookings on multiple properties and not receiving payments. There is 0 support and the contact centre say I just have to wait to hear from a team that does not reach out.

has anyone else resolved this? How did you do it?

We have 3 more listings I was about to list but I’m definitely not doing that with a platform that won’t pay me and provides no support. I can see why hosts are starting to leave in droves, this is a shambles. Can anyone help? Thanks

Hello @Patricia4129

Did ABB sort out this mess they have created for you?

Did any of the links you get sent have 'stav' at the top of them?

Frankly I think it's way overdue that KYC businesses were  held to account and adhered to our Regulations and were regulated because one can see many instances of KYC Fraud happening internationally where scams are going on within these KYC click bait places in general terms.

Just who is accessing our information and where?

Where are the records and names of these contracted out KYC Teams?

We simply get a first name and no other details which is not even business like, nor complaint with our Regulations.

Perhaps you may like to follow up with the likes of the Commerce Commission and Privacy Office amongst others here in NZ because it's not acceptable to be given the run around like this.

Make sure when it comes to proposed AI Legislation you also put in submissions because businesses are required to have real human beings able to assist to sort out these problems.
