Submitted wrong account number - money gone

Hi

 

i have entered the wrong account number (actually wrong clearing/routing number) so I did not get a payout. Airbnb support is like talking to a wall, claiming I need to reach out to the bank. The bank (Swedbank) claim that since the clearing number is wrong, the money have bounced or the transaction have failed back to Citibank (airbnb payout banker)

Now the support team won’t take any more action and my bank closed the door as well. Apparently money can just disappear. 

any suggestions? I’ve filed a complaint with the European authorities to seek a mediator because, the support are really hard to talk to with just copy-paste responses and repetition. Any other suggestions or should I just accept that the €1000 are gone forever?
