Tax Email from Airbnb

USA, I got an email (apparently from Airbnb) asking for "Action required: Provide missing taxpayer info"

Is this a legitimate email from Airbnb?  I try to follow it and it's directions are not follow-able in the Airbnb website.

I'd like to know... is there anything I need to do with this?

my husband go one of these too - and he has no listings. I reached out to airbnb and after a bit of back and forth learned that it was an error on airbnb's part - everyone with an account got the notice - even if they had no listings.  I wish they would send a correction.  sloppy practice IMHO

Apologies for the late reply here! I've checked on my end, and wanted to clarify that this action is not required for everyone. 

• If you’re not hosting There’s no action necessary at this time.
• If you’re an active US Host or host a US listing Your taxpayer information is required. If we don’t receive this information soon, your calendar will be blocked for future reservations and future payouts may be paused.
• If you’re a non-US Host We strongly recommend that Hosts submit their taxpayer information where applicable, so Airbnb can provide them with the most accurate tax documentation.
