Tax Germany Hamburg

Hello I am hosting and less than 56 days as individual. Do you know if I am liable to pay/declare revenue and any tax to the german government? As far as I know if it is less than 56 days I do not have to but still I am not clear and  I do not want to penaltized after that 🙂 thanks in advance!

@Furkan16, the Hamburg "56-day rule" (https://www.airbnb.com/help/article/856?locale=en) does not exempt you from declaring and paying taxes on your STR income to the tax authorities.

Hello @Furkan16 and Welcome to our Community Center 🎉

I came across an article that discusses taxes and regulations in Germany, which may be helpful in addressing your question. You can find it here. Additionally, it may be a good idea to connect with fellow hosts in your area and ask for their experiences. You can contact them through a Local Club Host here.

I hope this is useful.

Thank you sir! Do you know what should I do because article does not say

@Furkan16there is no general answer to this question, as it depends on the individual situation. Many hosts who are taxable in DE declare their STR income in their tax return via "Anlage V".

It is best to contact your tax advisor. Maybe the Homesharing Club Hamburg can also help you
