Tax ID accountholder or receiver?

Hi,

I'm managing the rental of a property of friends through my AirBNB account. The earnings are being paid out directly to my friends. In the past I've entered the tax ID of my friends. Now these have been deleted and I'm requested to give my own tax ID despite the fact that the earning still go directly to my friends. This doesn't make sense to me and I don't feel like paying tax over the earnings of my friends.

Does anybody have any experience with this?
