Tax season as a host, but not an owner.

Tax season as a host, but not an owner.

I work very closely with a private owner and I manage a total of 5 properties from the cleaning and maintenance scheduling to the guest experience and the cultivating of relationships. However, I am not the one who is paid for each guest visit, but rather the owner. All of his bank information is included and nothing is done within the transaction, but I am technically the host recognized on the platform and all Host information, (including date of birth and drivers license) belongs to me. I just want to make sure I'm not at risk of putting my tax return in jeopardy or worse, committing tax fraud. Any information would be very helpful. Thanks

@Timothy494 if all he money is paid to you then Airbnb will issue you with the relevant form at the end of the tax year AND inform the IRS. You need to speak with a CPA urgently to understand how you can issue your own tax forms to the owners so that most of your income is also an expense.
