Tax

Tax

Hi, I am the host of a property in Italyand I have Italian citizenship in Italy. I live and work in the Uk....and I am resident in both Italy and Uk. What is more convenient for me, to provide an Italian or Uk tax number? Or can avoid to provide the tax number and continue to work with airbnb?

Thank You - Anna Maria

@Anna-Maria173 I would employ an accountant versed in UK and Italian tax laws. My guess is the tax should be payed in Italy first and then the UK if there is any more to pay once the dual tax agreement is taken into account. As such I guess the Italian tax number is what is needed. Not providing any tax numbers will cause your account/payments to be suspended. By the way whilst the expert will tell you I don't think you can be resident in two countries at the same time.

I agree I don't believe you can have residency in two countries @Anna-Maria173

Your accountant can help advise on how to set up your STR business regarding dual taxation.
