Taxes on Listing in Hawaii

Taxes on Listing in Hawaii

I need to put taxes on my listings and cannot figure out how to do it.  I see some listings that have it and others do not.  I want to be able to charge my guests the taxes so I do not have to pay out of pocket, how do I do it?

Hello @Merris-And-Bob0

You'll have to opt in for Professional tools (free and now available to all hosts).  Have  a read on the Airbnb regarding taxes to help you navigate:

HI Joelle43,

I have checked my account and it just has articles about the professional tools, not an actual on/off button.  Am I looking in the wrong place? this has been so frustrating to try and do the right thing and pay and charge my taxes.

I have even called Airbnb and they kept sending me to submitting w-9's and such, nothing about adding local and state taxes. They then said they would havae someone get back to me and then closed my case.  very frustrating.

Hello @Merris-And-Bob0

Method 1 - To activate Professional tools, go onto your host landing page where you see Today, Listing etc.  Top right hand corner you see your profile picture.  Click on it and you should see Account and an option to activate Pro Tools.

Method 2 - on the Airbnb link page re Pro tools below, click on Account settings and that should redirect you to where you can activate the tools.

And we enter our local taxes such as tourist tax under Regulations but we are not in the same county so always a bit delicate to be 100% certain our interface is the same but a good place to start!
