Good morning. I used to rent my Turkish 4 bedroom detached villa via AirBnb and another platform but since the new Law was introduced last year we have unlisted it and no longer rent (actually opting to try to sell it instead, ... with no luck as yet).
As a non Turkish resident living in the UK I was not able to apply for a permit myself and would be required to give someone in Turkey POA to do this on my behalf and it all seemed very complicated particularly as the Law was introduced so quickly and no one seemed to understand it!
My question to you at this stage is did you manage to get your permit authorised and if so what have been the tax implications please.
I have been told by an accountant in Turkey that you have to register a Company with the Tax office there and supply monthly returns with requirements to pay commercial tax and VAT (with deductible expenses). I have been told by a firm of Solicitors that this is not the case.!
We are now considering going ahead via POA for an application for a permit but it would be good to hear from others who have now actually made successful applications about their experiences.
Thank you
