Does anyone else here have received multiple 1099-K and/or 1099-MISC for a fiscal year? If so, is there any logic to how each...

I requested some changes to my 1099 form, and no one has responded, no one knows anything, for over 15 business days, and Airbnb has no way of responding. Accessing support via chat or call makes no difference, the agents are completely unprepared to handle demands regarding problems with the tax form. The responses are always automatic responses that do not solve our problem. With the size of a large company that you have, you have to escalate the problem immediately. I know that not only me but dozens and dozens of people are waiting for their updated 1099s, you have to contact the IRS directly. The IRS is responsible for approving the changes, but you, who represent Airbnb, are the intermediaries and are responsible for sending this information. I am extremely dissatisfied with the shallow and unhelpful responses that are being given to us, when there is any response at all. My problem has already been escalated to be answered by email and I have not received any response.
You are talking to an international community of hosts and guests here not Airbnb @Tatiane101
have you asked for advice from your local host group - most of us won't even know what a 1099 is 😀
Sorry, I am just revolted with the situation.
I'm with you 100%. Same situation. I'd received 3 additional 1099s that are completely unrelated to my listings, with odd numbers that do not correlate to any of them. One was even addressed to my side business, which has absolutely nothing to do with Airbnb. However they all show them attached to my physical address and my social security number. I'd received NONE of this as income, yet it's been reported to the IRS? I've been "assigned a specialist" and the situation is "escalated" yet I've not received a response since sending the requested information.
This, to me, screams fraud on Airbnb's end, but without a way to get a hold of anyone, I'm going to have to address this with my accountant. It's unfortunate, since up to this point I've been a fan of the platform. But I cannot afford to have false income reported to the IRS, and having my properties on Airbnb will not happen going forward if this isn't resolved. I'm sick to my stomach over it!
I am sorry about it Kelly! I'm sick to my stomach over it too… and anxiety attack.
Unfortunately this is happening to a lot of hosts. I would recommend reporting Airbnb to the IRS for tax fraud, since it is the responsibility of Airbnb to supply hosts with a correct form. The more the IRS hears about Airbnb, the more likely it is that Airbnb will have to actually do their job.
