Hello,
Hopefully, someone can help us. During the high season, we are only renting from Saturday to Saturday. We set our minimum and maximum stay 7 days, but the calendar didn't work right. Once you selected the check in date, you could not choose a check out date. If you select the check out date first, you could work backwards and select the right check in date.
Our fix was to set the minimum to 7 days and maximum to 8 days. The calendar kind of worked correctly. You could pick Saturday to Saturday, but when a guest views the monthly calendar it looks like the Saturdays are available, but the rest of the week is booked. Also, the guest now has the option to choose Sunday (8th day). which would screw up our schedule. Therefore, we had to turn off instant book. Here is link, if allowed:

So, the calendar guest see doesn't not show the right days available and we had to turn off instant book. We have not had one booking on Airbnb since we made these changes (we are getting booking on other sites). I feel like I'm missing something, since other sites allow us to set up Saturday - Saturday rentals no problem.
Best, Dean
We have also had the same issue, and find it very confusing to potential guests.
I have reached out to AirBnB on several ocations and requested updates / feedback.
Sadly it seems there is nothing that can be done to make the calandar appear OPEN.

I had noticed this as well. I had 2 prime weeks available and I rent Friday to Friday. On the calendar on mobile devices the only day shown as available were the Fridays of the begining of the weeks I had available..How I got around this was I posted in my title STILL AVAILABLE WEEK OF _______ & W/O___. Within an hour of doing this I had one of the weeks rented and the next day the other week rented..I feel as if people are more apt to look at the calendar for availabily first before looking deeper into a listing. I hope they will change the way they have weekly bookings in the future. 🙂
I completely agree; this is a big issue that Airbnb needs to correct.
In the summer season, I have check-in and check-out only on Saturdays (rule in professional version of the calendar saying that check-in and check-out on sunday, monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday and friday is not allowed). This means that Sunday to Friday is marked as booked (gray with lines on) in the calendar, even though these days are not booked. Days are only opened when the guest selects Saturdays for check-in and check-out. This causes many guests to misunderstand as they think the days in the calendar are booked, even if they are available. This is therefore very negative because I loose potential bookings. Airbnb must change the view from Sunday to Friday from "gray with lines on" (booked) to for example "GREEN with lines on". This is important for potential guests to understand that the days are available, even though check-in and check-out is not possible on these days.
I would suggest that Airbnb have two colors for weeks that are open, lets say Blue for the Sat checkin and Green for the rest of the week till the next Sat, which would be Blue. I get VERY few weekly summer bookings from AIRBNB tho I'm booked full every summer for both homes. The rest of the year when I have a TWO night Minimum, Airbnb provides 50 -60 % of my bookings. There leaving a lot of BIG money on the table.
