The guest gave me a 2 star rating because the electric stove took too long to cook the food. There’s nothing wrong with the stove, it’s 6 months old. Evidently he has been cooking on a gas stove. He said everything else was good. So unfair.

You're right to be annoyed, @Latricia1, it's a mean review from a newbie who clearly doesn't 'get' Airbnb.

@Latricia1 Yeah, that's unbelievable. Your response is good, though: unemotional and factual. It will help your future guests see the review for what it is: frivoulous and mean-sprited.

 

One suggestion on vetting your guests: I probably wouldn't have accepted this guest as-is, personally. They're brand new to Airbnb, they have no profile info, and their only verification is an email address. This person has no skin in the game and seems super clueless. You may have had discussions before letting them book, but if not, I would consider insisting on more from guests in future.
