Delisted without warning

Delisted without warning

My listing was delisted by Airbnb without notice over a week ago--According to their email I needed to update my city permit. I completed this update and the site still won't allow me to re-list my property.

After digging into the issue further, I believe I uncovered an bug in the system. The error says my city permit only allows me to accept rentals for 30 days or more and then when I set my stays to 30 days it still gives me an error. The 30-day stay requirement isn't correct according to my city permit. But just in case, I also secured an additional permit type from my city and the site still isn't allowing me to re list my property. The site also won't allow me to enter my "Platform License" number correctly. So when I update it to the requested format it no longer matches my city records.

And after 8 calls and several emails and support messages, I still don't have a sufficient answer from Airbnb.

Anyone else having this issue?

The same happened to us !

All our listings went to long term although we have a license . We called 10 times . No one knows anything and they are not being responsive ...  very frustrating !

Hi @Kinga5 @Amy1875,

I'm really sorry to hear about that. Are you both still having the same issue?

Still having the issue although I do have an Airbnb specialist who seems to be fairly responsive via email and says she's looking into the issue. Going on third week of being delisted or not showing my listing accurately. Wondering if Seattle users should organize a virtual meet-up to discuss any problems we've been experiencing.

Same thing Happened to us in Seattle. Stemmed from permits from the city. Took several weeks to get our listing back and have received only 2 inquiries in the six weeks we have been restored. Airbnb was helpful getting our listing back, but have been unresponsive as to why we are not getting any looks.

I finally got my issue resolved after over a month, dozen's of calls, emails with airbnb. The support for hosts completely sucks. Makes me want to quit the platform. Airbnb won't exist if there weren't host but we are treated without respect or regard to our concerns. Call the city if you are having trouble. They have to manually send a list of licensed users to Airbnb. Ask for someone named Terry. He was very helpful for me. If you have questions about short-term rental licensing, please contact customer service at 206-386-1267 or STR@seattle.gov.
