Looking for long term stay school year

Greetings,

I am looking for a reasonably priced place for my son to rent for the school year, he just started Grad School at one of the University's in Glendale, Arizona. Needed is a private room and a private bath, if there's any host that can accommodate please let me know  ASAP. FYI, he's a military brat so there is a level of discipline and respect. Thanks much and I appreciate you all's time.

Why not just search Airbnb dot com

@Renee583  Third-party bookings are not allowed on Airbnb, so it wouldn't be appropriate to make arrangements here on your son's behalf. But aside from that, Airbnb is a terrible platform for a year-long rental; listings are priced way above the market rate for equivalent housing, and Airbnb adds huge fees on top of that. People with a spare room who really just want a stable, long-term housemate are not listing it on Airbnb.  Instead, I'd suggest that he check Spareroom.com, Facebook, and student message boards at the university.

And just to make sure prospective housemates recognize that he's a mature adult who can look after himself, try not to get directly involved as a parent. 😉

If your son is looking for accommodation as a student it would be better for him to get a regular house share @Renee583  so he has tenancy rights and doesn't pay high airbnb fees.

Has he spoken to the accommodation office at his university for help with details of landlords that let out accommodation to students.?
