Hi
I have checked all the settings- everything is live, open to book etc, as suggested in the community answers, but neither of my properties are coming up for Kirkby lonsdale (2 miles away) and yet there are other properties which are much further away but are showing? Any ideas?
You have two listings and they are both in the search system:
https://www.airbnb.com/s/homes?host_id=5495331&map_toggle=true
(Maybe zoom in some more on the map when searching)
The listing do not point to "Kirkby londsdale" or "Nether Burrow" as primary location, they state "Lancashire", which is a rather wide area.
Hope this helps,
Emiel
The problem is, the vast majority of searching guests won't zoom the map in, so hosts that are outside the map zone in any area that Airbnb considers to be the most lucrative neighbourhood, are rarely being seen.
That is correct, but also if within the lucrative map zone, on a certain zoom level not all listings are shown.
Ah! I've just realised the issue is probably similar to one that's been plaguing me for years, @Vicky251!
Your listing does indeed say Lancashire, and not Kirkby Lonsdale. But when I had a look at your listing, it mentions Nether Burrow. As far as I'm aware, Kirkby Lonsdale is Cumbria, but Nether Burrow is Lancashire - is that correct? If so, the issue is almost certainly your geocode in the Airbnb system. You'll need to call Airbnb and ask them to sort it out. You might have to call several times before you find an agent who knows what you're talking about, but do keep at it, because otherwise, you'll have problems with this forever! Good luck!
Thanks Susan- much appreciated!
