We have an "absolutely no smoking on property" rule for our home. This means no smoking in the house, outside of the house and even in a car that is on our property. We just built a brand new house and spent $15,000 on beautiful furnishings. 3 of our 5 guests so far have been smokers and have not understood the rule about "on the property." The rules are on the air bnb site, we print them out and have the guests sign them, even. Yet even today- after a verbal reminder and the written reminder, a guy is on the front porch smoking! I just sent a message 3 hours ago and haven't gotten a response yet....
Can I literally say NO SMOKERS as a house rule, or is that discriminatory? (I don't care if I lose business, I don't want their money if I have to deal with their smoke)
