No Reply from Host and Multiple Listings of Same property

 Hello,

I just booked this listing:

https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/13198576

However, after 2 messages and no reply from my host, I started to browse for other possible listings

in case I need to cancel. During my browsing, I found 5 other listings:

https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/13240990?guests=1&adults=1&location=Tokyo%2C%20Japan&s=pOCVFrUC

https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/13198579?guests=5&adults=5&location=Tokyo%2C%20Japan&check_in=2017-11-2...

https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/13198523?guests=5&adults=5&location=Tokyo%2C%20Japan&check_in=2017-11-2...

https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/13240989?guests=5&adults=5&location=Tokyo%2C%20Japan&check_in=2017-11-2...

https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/13162296?guests=5&adults=5&location=Tokyo%2C%20Japan&check_in=2017-11-2...

These 5 other listings has the exact same description as the listing I booked but with different hosts and different prices. Some of the pictures are the same with others, some are different. All host profiles joined in May 2016.

Usually, I won't be bothered by this but since I booked the place and my host is not replying to me, I am now doubting the authenticity and reliability of my booking. I looked at the reviews as well of each place, some of them cancelled bookings 1 day before arrival. Now I don't know what their system in booking is but I don't want that to happen to me. Ofcourse, I could just cancel the reservation and I can still get a full refund but it just bothers me that there are these kinds of listings and I wanted to report it somewhere.

PS I've already asked Airbnb for help in contacting my host. I haven't got any message from him still.

@Jocris0  Feeling uncomfortable with your host and/reservation is not a good way to be when you are traveling for work or play.  I suggest you ask Air BNB for help in cancelling and finding a new place.

Thanks for your reply. Someone from airbnb already called me and told me he was going to give my host 2 days to contact me. If not, he will cancel the reservation for me so that my host will take the penalty and not me.

My bad is that I didn't follow up on the multiple listing part of my issue though. I hope airbnb do something about the listings. I feel these people are fooling would-be guests as well as other hosts in the area.

@Jocris0  If you have concerns about any listing, go to the profile and under the name is a flag.  Click on the flag and post your concern.  This enables Air BNB to investigate.  Thank you for your posting and support of the host and traveler community of Air BNB.
