Dear All, I need your help. I am new into this system and today I had my first guest. How the payment thing works? How long it takes to get into my bank account? Is it after the person stayed at mine ? Also in term of law , do I need to declaire something special to my City Council? How do you declaire this money ?

I do like that Cynthia & Chris send the official info links - that is spot on for 'encouraging' people to answer their own questions.

Do you think there might be some merit in seeing if Airbnb would consider sending a brief simple fact sheet to new hosts - one when they list for the first time - and another when they receive their first confirmed booking? Maybe even something that is interactive and requires a click in the 'agree' or 'understood' box at the end (like a licensing agreement or download software)??

One can only dream.
