Proof of residency when opening bank account

Hello,

I have moved to Spain for 6 months for ERASMUS, then will be doing a 1 year internship here. I need to open a bank account, but need to prove my residence in order to do so. How would I go about this through Airbnb, it seems like such a complicated process over here in Spain

What do you mean through. Airbnb  @Harry189.

Are you living in an Airbnb for six months?  If so give them a copy of your booking confirmation and written confirmation of your Erasmus.

Why do you need to move your bank account to Spain - you can use cashpoint cards there with UK bank cards.

Opening up an account in Spain is horribly complicated,  even for those who've got their own places (vs an Airbnb) as you need all sorts of documents. My port of call would be the student union. That said, a non-resident account is easier to open, but may need a 'Certificado de No Residente'  in addition to your (certified and translated) documents.
