Fairly recently we received our first bad/nasty review. I just checked our reviews and for some reason the bad review has been buried back on page 3. Obviously, we're happy about that, but I'm just wondering what determines review order? Is there a way to keep the stelar reviews on page 1?
Normally its sorted by browser language and then chronological. On the app, as soon as you click for details, it's chronological.
Do you mean the girl with the parking fines? Was she at your place in March? It looks like early February, the month is no longer indicated.
There have been a few trials, like allowing to sort the reviews by stars, like product selling websites do; or recommended reviews first. To get those points, you would have to have a friend log in with another airbnb account and declare the stellar reviews as helpful.
I did not see it lately, maybe it's an experiment already buried or it depends on country of listing or country of guest.
I agree it is sorted by browser language, date and other criteria.
I saw the bad review in the second page, if it is the one written by a Canadian woman.
All the reviews that comes first are written in english. So, another thing must have been considered to sort it.
Maybe if a canadian potential guest visit your ad, maybe the review in question will appear in the first place.
Maybe be some canadian member of this community can check it out.
if you replace the .com in airbnb com by .ca for canada, the lady appaears on page 1. But more recent US guests are on top.
I'm Canadian, so I checked it out, @J-Renato0. @Michael-Reilly0, this was the lady with the traffic and parking complaints? It did not appear at the top of the list - on page three for me, too - so nothing to do with country-of-the-viewer.
Someone from Markham complained about traffic and parking? That part is funny for anyone who has been to Markham...
Anyway, I always advise not to worry too much, but I have one of those, too: one low-star review that shows up in "Lowest" forever, in which the narrative part is not that bad. It kind of shows "that's the worst they could say?" so it's fine. Odd about the order, though.
I am in Australia. Just got another review half an hour ago so went to check if order fixed. Nope. They still display my one and only 3 star first followed by my four 4 stars then followed by all my 88% five star reviews. I am always full but the dates displayed now make it look like I only have bookings every couple of months. It is making me reconsider if there is any point putting in all this effort to remain a Superhost. Depressing.
Hi Wendy I'm having a simiar issue where my top listed review if June 2016! I'm told by airbnb that its an experiment and have asked to be removed from it but no lucjk so far. Seriously effecting bookings.
Hi there, I ave just noticed that my reviews are no longer in chronological order. In spite of having many reviews it seems that I have not had any guests since early last summer. Does anyone know if Airbnb is going to sort this out and if so when?
Thank you Julia
Watch out cause some countries are singing Americans strictly for political reasons.
What does that mean?
Tryng to understand your cryptic comment. Is it supposed to be a joke? Did you mean singling or singing? Even then if you are suggesting they are singling out Americans for some reason, that does not seem to relate to this topic. Airbnb are very strongly against any kind of discrimination be it race, country, sex etc. If your comment is relating to the order of reviews, would you mind reposting in a way we can understand your point. Thank you.
@Michael-Reilly0 It appears to be totally random. I have past years mixed in with current, all different ratings.
