Someone hacked my accound and booked an accommodation from it!

Hello,

never thought it would happen to me. Yesterday I imstalled some software (probably it turned out to be a phishing website).

today at night someone booked an accommodation in Prague for €815 from my account!! Paid with PayPal (direct debit).

I don't have this money on my account so I will be in minus on paypal.

There is no telephone number I can call airbnb: there is no free number, and I'm not gonna dial a 030 number (Germany) from my mobile cause it will cost me money.

There is no "call me back" option, neither  a chat.

Very frustrated with the serivce!

This hacker send the host two messages:

"Hallo Freund, heute möchte ich mich mit einem Mädchen näher zum Abendessen niederlassen? Ich würde es in Prag sehr schätzen und würde gerne 2 Tage bleiben, danke für die Antwort"

"Nun, danke, ich werde mich mit dem Mädchen ausruhen, wir haben 2 Tage, nun, meine Freundin sagt, dass sie nicht bei dir bleiben will, das Haus wechseln will"

First he says he wants to come with a girl there, and then after the host replied, he said he changed his mind and won't come to the accommodation.

Maybethis behavior would be familiar to someone on this forum.

What should I do in this case?

Regards,

Chris

Your whole posting sounds like baloney to me, sorry. How would someone hack your AirBnB account while not hacking far more important things like bank accounts and credit cards which could be far more profitable than an AirBnB account? Also, if there's no money in the Paypal account, then as far as AirBnB is concerned the booking can't complete. And if the booking can't complete ... then there's no booking! The worst thing that can happen in that case, and only if it was a real bonafide member/host, would be for hat member to report you to AirBnB with a complaint for making a bogus booking.
BTW, you can't "install" a website. Ever hear of  a virus checker for your computer?

Really ??? Someone hacked your account, tried to charge a bunch of money, but making a phone call to Germany WHILE YOU'RE IN GERMANY WHERE IT'S CHEAPEST TO CALL FROM is too much concern for you ???

If someone hacked into my stuff, I would immediately be calling banks & credit card companies to make them aware of the hack as well as the fraudulent transaction. Have you contacted them? AirBnB is no help. If you check the community you'll find literally thousands of complaints about AirBnBs horrible communication wih the people from whom they're making money.
AirBnB is one of the worst places on earth, to expect "professional" communication.
They're not interested in talking to anyone, just in making money.

I installed some software from a website, thats what i meant.

Yeah, doesnt make sense to me either why would anyone do this. But it happened.

I'm not gonna pay even €0,30 for a call from mobile to landline which is supposed to be free. I pay a lot of fees to airbnb, why should i pay for the technical support? And i dont have a landline.

If they take money for the service they're supposed to talk to their customers. Obviously. Why can't anyone go against airbnb, sue them etc?

meanwhile Paypal returned me the money already. that was fast

they used the direct debit, means I would land in minus on my paypal account

@Chris1930, du bist auch Gastgeber?  Ich seh kein Inserat, dafür von 13 Bewertungen nur 2. In einer steht auch ein anderer Name des Gastgebers.

Wieso schreibst du in der deutschen Community in Englisch?????
