Strong food smell

We have a guest who invited her parents from abroad to stay at our place and spent 2 days cooking fish, shrimp, and meats.  Unfortunately, left behind was a rotten food smell that emanated from the apartment as the door was opened.  The guest obviously knew this to be a problem and tried to clean but the smell was so strong and fishy that there was no use.  One, there was no warning that the guest needed help even though I reached out to her about her check out.  Two, who leaves that behind thinking there are no repercussions?  We had to pay for two additional cleanings $60 each and severely discount the incoming guests $129.  Airbnb told us to charge for air fresheners and deodorizers.  Outside of that they have been hands off.  The guest admitted to cooking but is not accepting the claims that is her fault and said our kitchen is not equipped to handle cooking.  Any thoughts to resolving within72 hours with a price with guest vs having Airbnb handle?  Also, there is a risk now of a poor emotional review from the guest.  We also found our closet door to be jammed open and bent which likely may require us to change out the track but we were able to fix it temporarily.  The foul smell is so disturbing that we are willing to waive the closet door repair.
