Total Reservation Cost Dropped after pre-approval to confirmation

I pre approved a guest for 55 nights and it said the reservation cost would be $1,118.

But after the guest confirmed, now the reservation cost is only $990, almost $130 dollars less.

Why is that? And, how do I keep the first price? I wouldn't have pre approved for only $990.

More info:
Room night is $29 per night.
Monthly discount is 36%
So I would have thought the cost would be $1,020 -$1,118
